Well I’ve been looking after another car these last few months.

Kinja'd!!!

Was talking with the owner about pressed licence plates and so I thought, hey why not treat her to them. I like them.

(part of the licence plate has been covered by items I had conveniently laying around. Lol).

Kinja'd!!! Kinja'd!!! Kinja'd!!!

Fully BSAU145d compliant with correct spacing and size of letters and numbers in Charles Wright font.

I hope she likes them.

I’m not really a Golf fan but she is immaculate. She has a bit of ‘white worm’ on the chrome plastic wheel hubs but that is a common thing with badges. I hope to correct that soon as I get a discount on VAG parts. I’ll learn from it though and seal the hubs with some Gtechniq C4 to prevent water ingress in between the lacquer and the hub leading to ‘white worm’.

Is that a GT? Also pressed plates are high in scene points, give them German font and you win at VWs.

My mk5

Ye’, she’s a GT Sport.

I was talking with the owner about the same wheels you have but she’s more interested in the new Mk7 alloys, shame as I quite like the ones yours are wearing.

Using the German font would score points but also likely get her points from the police, at best be given a warning or a ‘producer’ to change them.

Ye’, she really loves the power and economy from it. She also likes my neighbours Eos, Bluemotion.

U.K. Plates are a reflective film with the lettering on top and then a 3mm thick perspex sheet on top of that. Pressed plates are frowned upon as they aren’t generally reflective but these have a reflective coating and then a protective lacquer. I’ve also coated them in Gtechniq C4 which adds a degree of scratch protection and a little more durability.

Lol. Ye’, there’s a lot of rules and regulations for U.K. Cars. As well as size, font, spacing and construction each licence plate needs the postcode (zipcode) of where the plate was made. It’s crazy but it’s for a reason.
